5 Factors for the choice of the Electric Shavers

Electric Shavers – Structure

The second factor to consider in choosing the electric shaver to its structure, since it depends on the maneuverability and speed of execution of the shaver itself.

As mentioned previously, in the market, there are two types of electric shavers which are distinguished by the cutting system used: shavers to rotary heads and the shavers to foils. The shaver cutting system determines the shape of the product and also the way it operates. The market also predominate four industry giants that offer electric shavers of every price range: Philips and Remington produce models with rotating heads, while Panasonic and Braun prefer the blades.

Shaver rotary heads : The structure provides for a sort of triangle composed of three rotary heads, inside of which is present a circular blade that allows cutting. The best use is to perform a circular motion on the area to be shaved.

Shavers blades : This type of structure is riddled with one or more laminae, in which holes ” fits ” the hair which is subsequently cut from the inner knife. You need to make linear movements, just as you do with a classic blade.

Say which of the two types is more effective it is practically impossible. We can only point out that both may have the same functions that determine the cut quality. It is a very subjective choice: some people prefer the rotary heads because they cover a larger area and speed up the work, and who, instead, is that the thinnest line of sheets is more practical to treat the geometries of the beard. There are also models of Philips rotary heads that they encompass the heads to finish, as well as the Panasonic produces electric shavers with five blades, which are used to make very quick shave, but also a bit less precise, since it will reach with less agility, smaller areas of the face and complicated to work with.

The cutting system also determines the physiognomy of the same shaver: the models to rotary heads often have a solid and compact body, characterized by a very ergonomic structure which facilitates the grip, as in the case of the products of Philips high-price range, that also provide the finisher or a controller as an external support.

The leaf patterns instead, especially those of Braun, have a more flat and wide design that fits well in the movement that shaving implies. In case you want a model that you can also use in the shower, we shall see later these particular functions, we recommend you to check the lining that covers the handle; always better than both anti-slip, such as a rubberized finish.

As regards the size, we can say that electric shavers are very similar and tend to roam all on a weight of about 500 gr. These elements are important to consider only in rare cases: for example, those who travel frequently by air may have to calculate the specific weight, but, in general, in terms of practicality or shaving comfort, the weight/size factor, it not entails particular advantages or disadvantages for the user.

The materials used for the body of the shaver are mostly plastic while, for the sharp parts, it is of metal. Take care to ensure that all the pieces are properly assembled together, especially to fix the trimmer sideburns that, sometimes, does not have a solid and may come off attack.
