5 Factors for the choice of the Electric Shavers

Power

This factor is decisive for the power and quality of the work sessions, and then for the longevity of the product and for the convenience of use.

Models with power supply network. We start from the most simple type which is available commercially, namely the classic electric shaver which is powered by means of the socket. This technology is now considered obsolete, although still has advantages that need to be highlighted:

• The low-end price.
• The ability to use it continuously without thinking of charging.
• The power delivered consistently (the battery models, low-end, can reduce the power in the last minutes of autonomy).

Look the disadvantages of network types :

• Work only with a power outlet nearby.
• They can deliver an average power and always less than that of higher-end models.
• They cannot be used with gel or shaving foam and never in the shower.
• The cable can be annoying during shaving job.

Cordless models (wireless / cordless)

The speech becomes more complex as regards the templates that use the battery, as it may vary in terms of autonomy, recharge times, power and constancy. Obviously, electric shavers of the upper band demonstrate a greater capacity and very often the price its salt for the choice of the battery, which almost always is a lithium battery and free from the memory effect.

Use a battery of this type means having a shaver capable of keeping a constant power until the last minute of autonomy and able to ensure a fast charging of 5 minutes for a complete shave. Recall that the alternative to lithium batteries are Ni-MH hybrid that although last longer, suffer from what is called ” memory effect ” and, unlike lithium, does not guarantee a long life to all the same rhythms.

Beware though, lithium batteries are not all the same: a low-end product, for example, can be powered lithium but having a power output and a battery / charge ratio less satisfactory. Then, the battery also determines the power of the product and, more this is greater, more shaving will be effective and fast, especially working on harder beards.

Powered models & wireless : There are some models that can run on either network cable, something that rarely happens with the higher-end products, because with more and fast charging (3/5 minutes).
